Improving a system for the secondary cooling of continuous-cast semifinished products on the basis of information on the actual thermal state of the ingot

A new system is proposed for controlling the secondary cooling of continuous-cast semifinished products. The system’s operation is based on the use of data on the actual thermal state of the ingot. These data are obtained by mathematical modeling and the use of a measurement complex that was designed as part of the system.
