The epidemiology of central and extraventricular neurocytoma in the United States between 2006 and 2014

Introduction Central neurocytoma (CN) and extraventricular neurocytoma (EVN) are rare intracranial tumors. There is a paucity of studies reporting the population-based incidence of these tumors. We used the Central Brain Tumor Registry of the United States (CBTRUS), which contains the largest aggregation of population-based data on the incidence of primary central nervous system tumors in the United States to describe these tumors.
