Clinical Rational Use of Pharmaceutical Excipients of Ethanol

Objective To present the drug prospectus for pharmaceutical excipients of ethanol in our hospital in order to provide a basis for rational use of drugs. Methods Information on pharmaceutical excipients of ethanol was analyzed by reviewing the prospectus of oral liquids and injections in our hospital. Results 90. 48% of the prospectus of 21 oral liquids was marked with pharmaceutical excipients,10. 53% of which contained ethanol in our hospital. 64. 75% of the prospectus of 278 injections was marked with pharmaceutical excipients,8. 84% of which contained ethanol. Conclusion In order to ensure clinical rational use of drugs,physicians and clinical pharmacists should pay attention to either the compatibility of the drug itself and the interaction between drugs or the impact of pharmaceutical excipients on the combined use of drugs while designing drug treatment.
