New RSOA devices for extended reach and high capacity hybrid TDM/WDM -PON networks

We demonstrate that the use of a high gain reflective semiconductor optical amplifier as remote modulator enables 36 dB optical budget for colourless operation at 2.5 Gbit/s over 45 km single mode fiber.
