Use of X-ray fluorescence for chemical analysis

1974
Major advances in X-ray fluorescence analysis during the last three years are reviewed. Considerable progress has been noted in the use of radioactive sources, small X-ray tubes and energy analysis by solid state detectors. Much of the review deals with published applications of X-ray fluorescence in chemical analysis. An attempt is made to forecast future developments and comparison with other analytical techniques suggests that X-ray fluorescence spectrometry will maintain, and possibly increase, its relative importance.
