Avaliação de doses de enxofre em cultivares de feijão-caupi (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp)

2021
Abstract: The cowpea plant is a legume that has gained great economic importance in the Mato Grosso State, by adapting to different regions and for presenting low production cost. The objective of this study was to evaluate the vegetative development of BRS Tumucumaque and BRS Guariba under the influence of different doses of elemental sulfur. The experiment was conducted in the experimental area of the UFMT in Sinop-MT, from October / 2014 to January / 2015. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications, in factorial 2x5 (two cultivars BRS Tumucumaque and BRS Guariba and five doses of elemental sulfur). The treatments were 0, 8, 16, 32 and 64 Kg ha-1 elemental sulfur (S0) applied at 16 days after sowing (DAS). The total chlorophyll content of ratings, leaf area, plant height, stem diameter, root dry weight and number of pods were made after 61, 54, 61, 61, 65 and 65 DAS, respectively. The mean values for all variables were not statistically significant, showing that the application of elemental sulfur did not influence the vegetative development of cultivars.
