Background:�9DVFXODUFDOFLoFD ⴀ tions (VC) are associated with cardiovascular (CV) morbidity and are independent predic ⴀ tors of CV mortality in end ⴀstage renal dis ⴀ ease (ESRD). This study aimed to investigate WKHSUHVHQFHRIDUWHULDOLQWLPDFDOFLoFDWLRQ� �$,&��DQGDUWHULDOPHGLDFDOFLoFDWLRQ��$0&�� in nondiabetic patients on long ⴀterm hemodi ⴀ alysis, and to assess the association with CV risk factors. 0HWKRGV� 34 ESRD patients (17 males) on hemodialysis for at least 5 years were evaluated for VC using B ⴀmode ultra ⴀ sonography.
