Apparatus and method for microscopy of a plurality of samples

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for microscopy (100) a plurality of samples (102), the apparatus comprising: detecting a first optical detector (106, 108), which is designed to sequentially assume a plurality of measuring positions and the first image data at each measuring position (200) of a sample (104) having a first spatial resolution -; - an image data evaluator adapted, for each sample (202) a first image data within the respective (200) illustrated, to determine area under investigation (204) of the sample; - is coupled to a second optical detector (110, 112) which so to the first optical detector (106, 108), that the second optical detector (110, 112) subsequent to the first optical detector (106, 108), so that the second optical detector (110, 112) is in measurement positions, which had been taking time before the first optical detector (106, 108), and wherein the second optical detector (110, 112) is adapted, for each sample (202) second image data (300 ) record of the (to be examined region 204) of the respective sample (202) having a second spatial resolution which is higher than the first spatial resolution.
