Influence of Short-Term Fattening Effects of Feeding with Waste Material from Lentinus Edodes(WMLE) on Qinshan Crossbred Steers

Twelve crossbred Qinshan steers were allotted into four groups for a 60-day short-term finishing trial with different feed.The control group was fed with basal diet.Experiment Group Ⅰ,Ⅱand Ⅲ was fed with WMLE of Pleurotus ostreatus(Jacq:Fr.) Quel instead of 10%,20% and 30% basal diet,respectively.The result showed that the finishing effect of three nutrient level feed models is significantly different from that of the control group.And it is best in total finishing gain,average daily gain,concentrates/gain,roughages/gain,income of weight gain,gross profit per steer and expense/income(P0.01),and the lowest in feed cost of 1 kg gain(P0.01),when fed with WMLE in place of 20% basal diet.
