“The Judiciary was to be an arm of the social revolution upholding the equality that Indians had longed for”. The present paper throws an adequate light on the role of judiciary in the post independent period. The historic past of India indicate that the monarchy system of hundreds of princely states which have characterized with despotism. This system has paved the way for switching on the democratic system in India. The institution of constitution has paved the way for rendering its services for safe guard through the directive principles and fundamental rights for efficiently restoring the democratic system in India. The institution of federal system and working of judiciary system and exercising the power vest with their jurisdiction are supposed to be worked in relation to judicious judgments to all people of India.
