Cell Patterning and Application Based on Microsystem Technology

Microsystems give new platforms for cell research. Cell patterning technology, which is an absolutely new way of cell culturing, plays an important role in the field of “cells on chip”. Here, the main strategies of cell patterning, including photolithography, soft lithography, stencil-assisted were reviewed and so on. Furthermore, the main uses of the microsystems with cell patterning technology, such as fundamental studies in cell biology, tissue engineering and cell-based biosensors were introduced.
