The application of RBF neural network in IDS

As an active security-defense technique,Intrusion Detection System(IDS) offers real-time protection against interior,exterior attack and mistaken operation.It can hold up and respond intrusion before the network is endangered.Because RBF(Radial Basis Function) network is better than BP network in its property of optimal approximation,classifying ability and the rapidity of study,RBF can improve the detection performances of IDS.This paper will describe the use of RBF network in IDS.
