The invention discloses a preparation method of 3-aminophenylacetylene, which comprises the following steps of: taking m-nitrobenzaldehyde as a starting raw material, firstly catalyzing with malonic acid through a basic catalyst in an ethanol solvent for condensation and decarboxylating to obtain m-nitrocinnamic acid; further brominating in acetic acid solution to obtain alpha-beta- dibromide-3-(3'-nitrophenyl) propionic acid, preparing (Z)-1-(2-bromethylene)-3-nitrobenzene through weak decarboxylation and selective debromination and completely debrominating through strong alkali to obtain m-alkynyl nitrobenzene; and finally obtaining the 3-aminophenylacetylene through iron powder reduction and further rectification and purification. The preparation method of the 3-aminophenylacetylene has the advantages of simple synthetic route, easily-available raw materials, mild reaction conditions, high total yield and the like and is suitable for industrial production.
