Dynamic Modeling and Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation Testing for LPG Engine

2007
Hardware-in-the-loop simulation testing (HILST) is becoming an important technique of electronic engine control system design. With xPC target toolbox in MATLAB, a PC-based HILST platform was developed to meet the design requirement of electronic control injection system of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) engine. A nonlinear, real-time LPG engine model is constructed in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Modularized and open system structure can make the HILST platform apply to the whole design process of electronic LPG injection controller. Application facts prove that the HILST platform has good flexibility and expansibility. By using the HILST platform, the cost and period of development are largely decreased, and the LPG engine injection controller gained excellent reliability and durability.
