The invention discloses an aldehyde ketone production reductase strain-Candida albicans (Candida albicans) XP1463, a gene, an enzyme, a vector, engineering bacteria and an application for catalyzing asymmetric reduction of 6- cyan-(5R)-hydroxy-3- carbonyl tert butyl hexanoate. The application of the aldehyde ketone reductase from the Candida albicans XP1463 disclosed by the invention in the biocatalytic synthesis of 6- cyan-(3R, 5R)-hydroxy-3-dyhydroxyl tert butyl hexanoate is reported for the first time, the optical purity of the prepared sample 6- cyan-(3R, 5R)-hydroxy-3-dyhydroxyl tert butyl hexanoate is higher, and the content of the 6- cyan-(3R, 5R)-hydroxy-3-dyhydroxyl tert butyl hexanoate is low; by means of the good differential selectivity of the disclosed aldehyde ketone reductase, the extraction yield of a product is higher.
