Iron-Catalyzed C(sp3)–H Acyloxylation of Aryl-2H Azirines with Hypervalent Iodine(III) Reagents

This letter describes an iron-catalyzed C(sp3)–H acyloxylation of aryl-2H azirines with hypervalent iodine(III) reagents (HIRs) serving as both an oxidant and a reagent. This methodology provides a rapid access to a wide range of monoacyloxylated 3-aryl-2H-azirines in moderate to good yields.
