The study of a photochemical and electrochemical treatment of aqueous solutions of azo dyes

1996
The bleaching of a direct black azo dye solution under the action of light and electrochemical and photoelectrochemical factors is studied. All these treatments are shown to cause an intensive bleaching of the azo dye solution, as a result of the azo dye molecule destruction involving both its conjugated bonds and aromatic fragments. The deepest destruction is shown to be achieved by the photoelectrochemical treatment
