The invention relates to a liquid level measuring device of an equipment cooling water system surge tank. The measuring device comprises a communicating vessel (3) and a differential pressure transmitter (4). The upper portion and the lower portion of the communicating vessel (3) are communicated with the upper portion and the lower portion of the equipment cooling water system surge tank (1) through two connection pipes (2) respectively, the high-pressure end (7) of the differential pressure transmitter (4) is communicated with the lower portion of the communicating vessel (3) through a first instrument pipeline (5), and the lower-pressure end (8) of the differential pressure transmitter (4) is communicated with the upper portion of the communicating vessel (3) through a second instrument pipeline (6). By means of the liquid level measuring device, accuracy of liquid level measuring is guaranteed, modifying amount of the whole device is little, and an original structure can not be damaged.
