The invention provides a comprehensive detection system for the mechanical properties of a composite post insulator. The composite post insulator comprises a sleeve of a post and flanges arranged at two ends of the sleeve; the system comprises a vertically arranged framework, a connection member, an electro-hydraulic servo actuator and a controlling unit, wherein the framework is formed by connection of a quadrangle with two right angled triangles located at two sides of the quadrangle via connecting pieces perpendicular to the bottom side of the quadrangle and connected with the vertexes of the quadrangle and the right angled triangles; the bottom of the framework is provided with a first flange fixedly connected with the bottom end of the sleeve; the connection member is provided with a second flange fixedly connected with the top end of the sleeve; the electro-hydraulic servo actuator is installed on the framework and connected with the connection member; and the controlling unit is connected with the electro-hydraulic servo actuator. The detection system accomplishes detection of the mechanical properties consisting of drawing, cantilever bending, simple bending and torsion of the composite post insulator on the same detection system, improves test efficiency and reduces purchase, installation and maintenance cost of test equipment.
