Synthesis and properties of plasma-deposited carbon condensates

Structural data, thermal characteristics, and theoretically calculated binding energies are reported for a graphite condensate obtained by carbon deposition from plasma. It is demonstrated that this condensate can be effectively used in self-propagating high-temperature synthesis processes.
