Influence of tablet computer games on the treatment compliance and maladaptive behaviors of patients undergoing painless gastroscopy

Objective To observe the improve effect of tablet computer games on treatment compliance and maladaptive behaviors of patients undergoing painless gastroscopy. Methods The 133 patients undergoing painless gastroscopy for the first time in Xinxiang Central Hospital from June 2018 to June 2019 were selected and divided into routine care group (n=65) and tablet computer game group (n=68) by picking method. Routine care group was given routine nursing intervention, while tablet computer game group was given tablet computer games intervention 30 minutes before painless gastroscopy based on routine nursing intervention. The treatment compliance was compared by cooperation questionnaire between two groups, and after painless gastroscopy for 1 week, the incidence of postoperative behavior change were evaluated by postoperative behavior scale (PHBQ) . Results The differences of coordination scores during examination between the two groups were not statistically significant (P>0.05) . The scores of coordination awareness, preparation before examination, posture and other coordination, as well as total scores were higher in tablet computer game group than those in routine care group. The result was statistically significant (P 0.05) . Conclusions The tablet computer game intervention before painless gastroscopy can improve the examination cooperation and reduce the incidence of inappropriate behaviors after examination.
