Improved process for producing foamed aluminum by adopting a turning vibration method

2014
The invention discloses an improved process for producing foamed aluminum by adopting a turning vibration method. The existing melt foaming method for producing the foamed aluminum comprises processes of smelting, tackifying, adding a foaming agent, performing heat preservation foaming, molding and demolding. By adopting the improved process disclosed by the invention, a foaming mold is reformed, and a movable cover plate is arranged above the foaming mold, can move up and down and has a certain sealing effect. In the process of the heat preservation foaming, when generated bubbles rise, the bubbles at the bottom become less and the bubbles at the top become more, the movable cover plate is moved to the surface of the foamed aluminum, and the mold is overturned to ensure that the movable cover plate faces downwards. At that time, the foamed aluminum with more bubbles are overturned to the bottom. Meanwhile, vibration to a certain extent is additionally applied to ensure that the bubbles rise under the vibration, thereby achieving an effect of consistent porosity of whole block of the foamed aluminum. In principle, the improved process is also based on a conventional single-mold foaming method, a core process is not changed, but the problem that the foamed aluminum is not uniform in density because the bubbles float upwards in the melt foaming method is solved with an extremely low cost, so that the improved process has high reliability and feasibility, and is an effective improvement for production of the foamed aluminum by adopting melt foaming at present.
