Phase-Shift Decoupled SVPWM Control Strategy for Open Winding Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Common DC Bus

A phase-shift decoupled SVPWM control strategy for open-winding permanent magnet synchronous motor (OW-PMSM) with common dc bus is proposed in this paper. In the proposed strategy, the voltage vector reference is divided into two voltage vectors with the same magnitude, then each voltage vector is modulated by one inverter. The phase angle between the two voltage vectors is defined as decoupling angle. Influence of decoupling angle on fundamental amplitude of phase voltage and the THD of phase voltage are analyzed. By shifting the decoupling angle, the OW-PMSM is controlled with smallest zero sequence voltage during full speed range. A phase-shift control strategy is proposed to smooth the phase shifting. The validity of the proposed method is verified by simulations.
