FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: to the initial liquid products of pyrolysis, high-boiling by-product fractions of petrochemical industries are added with a mass content of aromatic hydrocarbons of 50-95 wt % of total hydrocarbons with carbon number C 6 -C 8 . The ratio of the liquid pyrolysis products and high-boiling by-product fractions of petrochemical industries is 99-60:1-40 wt. %. After hydrogenation, the fraction of hydrocarbons C 6 -C 8 , isolated from the mixture of liquid products of pyrolysis, and high-boiling by-product fractions of petrochemical industries, is fully directed to extractive distillation for separation of nonaromatic hydrocarbons containing not more than 1 wt % of benzene, and the production of aromatic hydrocarbons with carbon number C 6 -C 8 , containing not more than 0.1 wt % of nonaromatic hydrocarbons with subsequent separation of benzene by distillation and the normal direction of the other aromatic hydrocarbons with number of carbon atoms C 7 -C 8 on hydrodealkylation. EFFECT: use of invention allows to increase the raw material for the production of benzene, to reduce the expenditure rate of liquid products of pyrolysis and qualified to recycle the by-products of petrochemical processes, which generally allows to reduce the cost of production. 3 cl, 7 ex, 1 tbl
