Procedure for the identification of inhibitor compounds of the assembly process of tau proteins and their applications. The present invention describes a new method for identifying chemical compounds assembly inhibitors or polymerizing tau protein based on the ability to mimic this process by using the minimum region of tau phosphorylated by PKA process, and by treatment with certain inducers polymerization of tau as HNE, juglone, DMM, menadione sodium bisulfite and menadione. This process mimics the assembly of tau protein that occurs in Alzheimer's patients so that their use would allow the identification and assessment of novel compounds for the manufacture of medicaments for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and such other tautopatias.
