Hair lightening in an hemodialysis patient treated by heptaminol (heptamyl)

Abstract Hair lightening occurred in a patient treated with heptaminol (heptamyl). This patient had chronic renal failure and had been undergoing hemodialysis since 2003. The hair hypopigmentation reversed after stopping the drug. The mechanism of the hair color modification is not understood.
