Social capital and community integration: psychosocial considerations in the latin american immigration research in Teruel

2008
Abstract: We describe the process and methodology followed in research on Latin American immigration in the province of Teruel funded by the University of Zaragoza (Code: 270-58). Since the model of social capital, we plan to investigate the trajectory of community integration and social inclusion of immigrants and the capital of Teruel villages in the province. To this end, we developed a measuring instrument with a special focus on the perspective of immigrants, their social network and in consideration of their demands and potential. The interview consists of customised questionnaires and open questions. The article explains the characteristics of the final instrument, the phases of implementation and the social agents involved.
