Nuclear Magnetic Moment of 210 Fr: ACombined Theoretical and Experimental Approach

2008
The nuclear magnetic moment characterizes the magne-tization of the nucleus with a single parameter. This fun-damental quantity plays an important role in many atomicand nuclear processes including parity violating interac-tions. More specifically, the nuclear magnetic moment isnecessary for extracting accurate information about theweak interaction in the nucleus [1] from atomic paritynonconservation (PNC) measurements [2].
