A sustentabilidade em agroecossistemas do Território Central do Rio Grande do Sul: pontos críticos favoráveis e limitantes

Sustainability of agroecosystems can be guaranteed by the maintenance of social, environmentaland economic systems. In this regard, NEA / UFSM develops a series of activities withthe goal of strengthening agroecosystems. Among these activities, it is important to highlightthe evaluation of sustainability, performed with a tool called MESMIS, which allows to identifyboth favorable and limiting critical points related to the conversion to sustainable agriculture.Thus, the main critical points assessed through this study were: the lack of interest in Agroecology,the innovative characteristics of farmers and the diversification of production, agroecologicaltechnical assistance, family succession and a diversification of marketing channels.
