Influence on proliferation of epithelial cells of human lens induced by X-ray

2010
Objective To study the influence on proliferation of human lens epithelial cells induced by X-ray.Methods SRA01/04 cells after being irradiated by different dosage of X-ray(50cGy,100cGy,200cGy,300cGy,400cGy,500cGy) were gathered at 60h to observe the morphological changes, and the proliferative activity was measured by MTT assay.PCNA expression was detected by PI fluorescent staining. Results 200 cGy and over dose of X-ray could decrease the proliferation of cells, make the cells disordered arrangement, shrinkage, detachment, and PCNA expression was decreased with the increasing dosage of X-ray.Conclusion X-ray exceeding 200cGy may prohibit the proliferation of human lens epithelial cells in dose-dependent manner, which may be related to the effect of PCNA expression decreasing.
