Experiment on Seedling Cultivation by Cuttings of Rhaphiolepis umbellata

2012
Experiments were conducted on seedling cultivation by cuttings of Rhaphiolepis umbellate at different time with different concentration of ABT.The result showed that R.umbellate is a tree species difficult for rooting.Treated cuttings of different concentration of ABT resulted a slow increase of rooting rate, with the highest of only 22%.Days for rooting decreased slowly with the increase of concentration of ABT,with the shortest time of 35 days.Temperature was the major factor for rooting rate at different time with the same concentration of ABT.Cuttings in March,June and September had significant difference of rooting days.
