ENTRE A CAATINGA E A MINHA CASA TEM TODO UM MUNDO PARA A GENTE CUIDAR : quando a consciência ambiental é sofisticadamente tão simples

2007
This present article examines the experience of an Agricultural Family School inside Bahia's semi arid region (Brazil), and its pedagogic relations towards social environmental context where it stands. Part of a doctorate research, the text shows the indicators of a transforming Environmental Education inserted at the political pedagogic plans of an agricultural family school and its local rural communities' actions. The theoretical discussion relies on the links between the proposal of a Critical Environmental Education and the Agricultural Family Schools' Pedagogic Project, when both are dealing with the environment and society relationship from a critical, reflexive, tense, showing solidarity and emancipated perspective. Thus, the experience inside this specific agricultural family school in the semi-arid region, emerges as an alert to the participative potential and politically based work, which the Pedagogy of Alternation can develop as a qualified Rural Environmental Education. The option for Phenomenology as a research methodology, reinforces the need to further our understanding of the rural communities perception of environment, life and the role of schools and educational potential in rural lives. Through Phenomenology, the research could reach its habitat in the rural people's vision helping them to construct it.
