Water supply system at Krsevica (4th century BC)

2011
Archaeological investigations of an urban settlement dated between the beginning of the 4th and first decades of the 3rd century BC have been conducted at the site Kale in Krsevica since the year 2001. Below the acropolis and close to the Krsevica river segment of the complex with water supply system, which could provide water for few thousand inhabitants has been discovered. The system consists of basin for water filtering and structure with barrel vault as reservoir. The chronological framework for this intricate and unique complex is possible to establish only after detailed analyses and further investigations (only around 6% of the entire site has been investigated so far).
