Development of Reliability-Based Integrated Design-Construction Quality Assurance System of Penstock

1990
A more rational design-construction quality assurance system is proposed by applying the concepts of the reliability-based design methods. By applying this system, the design level of safety of a structure can be assured during and after the construction. The proposed system is applied to a penstock project of the actual pumped storage hydroelectric power plant to demonstrate the effectiveness of this system.
