Research Advance of Source Apportionment on Personal Exposure to Particulate Matter

2009
Both short-term and long-term exposures to airborne particulate matter have been proved to have a major impact on human health. Source apportionment on personal exposure to particulate matter can provide data to help characterize exposure-response relationships for epidemiological studies, and improve risk assessment/risk management. This paper focuses on the research advance of source apportionment on personal exposure to particulate matter, mainly including sources characterization, exposure measurement and receptor models for PM source apportionment. Also, the aspects of further researches on source apportionment of personal exposure are proposed in this paper.
