Cimentación y estructura de la zona del Claustro

Three clearly different areas may be distinguished in the extension to the Prado Museum: the Cloisters, the Auditorium and the Foyer. The work carried out in the area of the cloisters was the most exacting and required deep excavation just a few metres from the Church of Los Jeronimos. This article focuses on the preliminary studies, the structural type and the construction process adopted in the execution of the work.
