Effectiveness of Computerized Provider Order Entry with Dose Range Checking on Prescribing Errors

Objective:Computerized provider order entry (CPOE) has been noted to significantly reduce the incidence of medication errors. We hypothesized that using computerized provider order entry with medication dose range checking would be effective in reducing the rate of prescribed overdoses in children.
