[Investigation of the living conditions of urban low classes: report on its results]

This report summarizes the discussions conducted among representatives of 5 Latin American countries who met in Buenos Aires in December 1979 to investigate living conditions of low-income urban residents. Discussions were always held at a very theoretical level and concentrated on 2 themes the organization of public urban services such as transportation and health services and the domestic household. These themes were examined from the point of view of the low-income classes only and in the context of a situation common to all 5 countries economically regressive and politically authoritarian. Recommendations on how to improve the situation are not included.
