Adaptación psicométrica de la escala de ansiedad y depresión de Goldberg en una muestra salvadoreña

2020
The objective of the present study is to adapt the Goldberg Anxiety and Depression Scale (GADS) on a Salvadorean sample. This test measures the presence of anxiety and depression symptoms in adult populations. In order to accomplish this, a no probabilistic sample of 478 Salvadoreans was used. This is an instrumental study with retrospective and cross-sectional designs. The survey was used to collect data. Besides the GADS, the GHQ-12 was also applied. The median for the age was 34.40 years old. In relation to sex, 134 (28,0%) were women and 344 (72,0%) were men. The findings show that the test has an adequate construct, validity on its criterion, and reliability in order to measure said problems in the Salvadorean population.
