`50 Year of Progress in Materials Science and Technology` Conference focused on composite and reinforced materials. Papers that were presented included: Composite Processing; Materials Behavior and Durability; Reinforcing Fibers and Architecture; High Temperature Materials; Composite Resin Properties; Adhesive Bonding; Surface Preparation; and Composite Repair. The conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia; and highlighted research from universities, the textile industry, and defense industries of the Southeastern United States. Applications from the research included the automotive, aerospace, structural, and environmental friendly replacements for current technology.
