New PM Gives Government Renewed Focus

In a surprising move generated by anxiety over low poll figures, the previous PM Kevin Rudd has been replaced by the Hon Julia Gillard. While some voters may have been surprised, it was a brave move in an attempt to re-invent the agenda and maintain government. The country embraced the new Prime Minister; keen to see a woman, who is often touted as one of the best parliamentary performers, advance to the top job. We now face a Federal election, sooner rather than later.
