The invention discloses a monitoring system for the condition of an electric power switch cabinet. The system comprises an upper computer, a control module, a temperature acquisition module and a current acquisition module. The temperature acquisition module comprises multiple temperature sensors for acquiring temperature signals of temperature monitoring key points of the switch cabinet. The output ends of the temperature sensors are connected with the control module. The current acquisition module comprises a current acquisition circuit and an angular displacement sensor which are used for acquiring circuit breaker breaking-closing current data and circuit breaker breaking-closing travel data respectively, and the data is transmitted to the control module. The upper computer sends a signal acquisition command to the control module, and the control module transmits the received temperature data, current data and circuit breaker breaking-closing travel data to the upper computer. The temperature information of the key points in the electric power switch cabinet can be monitored, correlated condition information generated during circuit breaker breaking-closing can be acquired, and therefore the condition of the electric power switch cabinet can be monitored more comprehensively.
