A novel electricity generating basketball comprises an inductance coil, a spherical permanent magnet, a spherical insulation housing, a variable-voltage electricity storage device and an external charging socket. The inside of the basketball is divided into three layers, the outmost layer is a coil layer and serves as a yarn entangled layer of the basketball, and multiple turns of irregular inductance coils are distributed on the outmost layer. The middle layer consists of a basketball inner container, an elastic supporting column and a spherical insulator, wherein the permanent magnet is arranged in the inner container, and the inner container serves as a motion space of the permanent magnet. The remaining layer serves as the innermost layer and is the spherical insulator, and the variable-voltage electricity storage device is arranged in the spherical insulator. According to an electromagnetic induction principle, when the basketball moves, the permanent magnet and the inductance coils are relatively static no longer, the permanent magnet freely move in the middle layer, the inductance coils cut magnetic induction lines, and accordingly inductive voltage is produced. The variable-voltage electricity storage device can achieve boosting, filtering, voltage stabilizing and protection functions of the inductive voltage. The novel electricity generating basketball is simple in structure, convenient to operate, safe in charging and environment-friendly and pollution-free in the electric energy generating process.
