Chapter 29 – Conclusion and Perspectives

Over a quarter of a century of mature experience on efficacy and safety of the most relevant targeted drugs has been accumulated so far. Their extraordinary expansion at clinical level, especially in oncology, parallels with the increased knowledge in the physiopathological mechanisms of targeted cell structures. Cancer control has become molecular, and is rapidly moving toward a personalized approach.
