The comparative analysis of static and dynamic performance for granite and cast iron bed of high-speed turning mechine

The bed is an important basic part of the machine tool,which static and dynamic performances directly affect the quality of the tooling parts.For the reasons of shock absorption,cost and machining,the cast iron is often used in the manufacture of bed.With the development requirement for the accuracy of machine tool and the perfect of granolith technology,more and more granolith will be used in manufacturing basic parts such as bed.Using the software of Ansys,the static cutting force and the dynamic modal of the bed made by two kinds of materials-cast iron and granite are analysed.After comparing analysis results,the advantages of the granite is analyzed for the manufacturing of bed,which results provides theoretical basis for enhancing the performance of the bed.
