Clinical analysis of surgical technique in 41 cases of inferior lacrimal canaliculus laceration

2014
Objective To analyze the surgical techniques of lacrimal canaliculus laceration. Methods 41 cases of inferior lacrimal canaliculus laceration received the anastomosis. The data of patients were analysed retrospectively. There are three key steps during the operation: searching the nasal broken end, supporting with the silicone stent tube and anastomosing by the way of "one-stich anastomosis through the skin". Results All cases were followed up for 3 months to 1 year after the operation. The 38 cases of inferior lacrimal canaliculus laceration were cured, accounting for 92.7%. The surgery was effective in 3 cases (7.3%) , and was invalid in no cases. Conclusion Finding the broken end, appropriate supporting, and anastomosis accurate are keys to repair lacrimal canaliculus laceration. Key words: Laceration, inferior lacrimal canaliculus;  Stent, silicon;  Anastomosis, one-stich, through the skin
