Technology for relative amount measurement of acoustic parameters of seafloor sediment

In view of the deficiencies of the absolute measurement method which is generally used to measure the acoustic characteristics of bottom sediment,a new relative measurement method studying acoustic characteristics of bottom sediment is proposed.Based on the principle of this method,a multichannel acoustic-signal measurement system with sound probes as its sensors and CPLD as its core is designed.This system can transmit a single,several or continuous sine wave or pulse wave,and sweep in a small frequency range.It can measure acoustic parameters of not only small-distance(such as within a wavelength) bottom sediment but also long-distance(such as more than 100 wavelengths) bottom sediment.This system has been applied to measure a number of samples of bottom sediment,and its effectiveness is verified by experiment.
