Roll Bending of Thin Sheet Metal Parts on Press Brakes

Summary Increasing the flexibility of the sheet metal forming technology is the aim of various research projects. A special tool system for roll bending thin sheet metal parts on conventional press brakes is presented in this article. Furthermore a finite element simulation (FEM) provides more information which is necessary for an additional optimizing of this tool.
