Nanogenerators: An introduction

Abstract This chapter focuses on the introduction of nanogenerators, through their definition, classification, operating mechanics, and applications. For promising application, at the nanoscale, energy and technologies are extremely needed for independent and continuous operations of implantable nanogenerators, ultrasensitive optical and plasmonics generators, nanorobotics, microelectromechanical systems, remote and mobile environmental sensors, and portable electronics.
