Process for the specific determination of methylglyoxal in liquid and / or gaseous samples

2002
The invention relates to a method for specifically identifying methylglyoxal in liquid and/or gaseous samples. According to the invention, the methylglyoxal is first oxidatively converted to pyruvate which is then fed to an amplification cycle which consumes NADH and/or produces hydrogen peroxide, which can then be detected and quantified.
